Our Work

At the Centre for Youth Empowerment Health Rights Ghana (CYEHRG), we are committed to promoting the health, rights, and well-being of marginalized communities, particularly LGBTQI+ individuals and gender-based violence (GBV) survivors. Our work is centered on advocacy, psychosocial support, and community empowerment through innovative and sustainable approaches.
Psychosocial Support
we provide first-response psychosocial support to GBV Survivors
Safety and Security Initiatives
We run discreet and confidential reporting systems for security threats, violence, and discrimination cases. Our partnership with the GBV Rapid Response System and documentation of cases with Rightify Ghana allows us to support victims and advocate for justice.
Community Engagement and Awareness Campaigns
Through virtual discussions and interactive sessions, we raise awareness of gender-based violence and human rights. Our Mpox online awareness and prevention webinars have reached many vulnerable individuals, equipping them with knowledge and protective strategies.
Advocacy and Human Rights Protection
We actively engage in online and offline advocacy for the rights of sexual minorities. Our initiatives include policy engagement, awareness creation on human rights violations, and providing a platform for community voices to be heard.
Capacity Building and Empowerment
Our empowerment programs focus on equipping individuals with knowledge and skills to navigate societal challenges.
Growth and Sustainability
we are also focused on long-term sustainability by strengthening our partnerships, expanding funding sources, and building a resilient organizational structure.
- Partnerships and Collaborations
We believe in the power of collaboration to drive meaningful change. CYEHRG partners with various organizations to enhance our impact and reach. Some of our key partnerships include:
- Rightify Ghana: Collaborating on case documentation and advocacy for LGBTQI+ rights.
- GBV Rapid Response System: Providing support for gender-based violence survivors through crisis interventions.
- OHF Initiative: To support LGBTQI+ individuals at risk and GBV survivors.
